Our Philosophy

Triangle Grace Preschool offers the opportunity for families to be involved in their child's preschool experience. As a school parent, your responsibilities include:

• volunteering your time and talent in the classroom 
• providing a nutritious snack
• driving on field trips

Schedule of Operation . . . 

• 2-year-olds:  9:15 am -12:15 pm​
• 3-year-olds:  9:15 am - 12:15 pm
• 4 and 5-year-olds:  9:15 am - 12:15 pm
• September-Mid May

About Our Classrooms 

Class Size

• 4 and 5 year old - 21-24 children
• 3-year-olds - 10-12 children
• 2-year-olds - 8-10 children

Teaching teams of two work in the classroom with the children in our 2 and 3 year old programs.
A teaching team of three work in three adjoining classrooms in our 4 and 5 year old programs.

This provides ratios of:

• one adult for a maximum of every seven-eight children in our 4 and 5 year old program.
• one adult for a maximum of every five-six children in our 3 year old programs.
• one adult for a maximum of every four-five children in our 2 year old program.

Conscious Discipline

Conscious Discipline® is a comprehensive self-regulation program that integrates social-emotional learning and discipline. 
Our teachers incorporate “The School Family” model into their classrooms and through the school. 

• The School Family builds connections between families and schools, teachers and teachers, teachers and students, and students and students to ensure the optimal development of all.
  
• The School Family is created through routines, rituals and structures.

Administration 

Triangle Grace Preschool is a ministry of Triangle Grace Church. Through this ministry, we hope to provide support for our congregation as well as the surrounding community by promoting the spiritual, physical, social, and intellectual growth of its children and their families."

Oversight of Triangle Grace Preschool:

• Triangle Grace Church Session 
  The ultimate oversight of the school lies with the Session of TGC.
• Triangle Grace Preschool Board
  The Triangle Grace Preschool Board makes policy decisions about the preschool, meeting regularly year-round. The preschool board consists of the Preschool Director, the Director of Christian Education of TGC, the Teacher Representative of Triangle Grace Preschool, church members, and parents. 
• The Director is on-site Monday through Friday.
• Lead and Staff Teachers
  The teachers are hired by the school and the church to be responsible for the educational development and well-being of the children. The adjustment and development of a child are matters of private concern between the child's parents, the child's teacher and the lead teacher. Staff teachers are responsible to and work in conjunction with the lead teacher and the Director.
